Although needing some updating, the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent. Helpful reception staff and very friendly service in bar and restaurant.

Property Location

The Ambrosia hotel is located at the sea shore with a sandy beach in a Bitez region, 7km. from the city of Bodrum and 4km from the lively resort of Gumbet. A short 400m. stroll will take you along the flat shoreline promenade to the shops, bars and restaurants of the resort centre and there is a local bus stop right outside the front of the hotel.

Rooms

Our hotel has 100 rooms, eight family suites, four junior suites and 88 standard rooms available. All of our suite rooms have a full seaview, our standard rooms have either a pool view or garden view, with some of the rooms being able to see the sea from their balcony.

The hotel has undergone a huge update in the last year and work wasn’t quite finished when we were there. However this didn’t detract from our experience. There were few guests there during our stay so the place was very quiet. There have been a lot of personnel changes, especially in the bar and restaurant. Hopefully the service will improve as they settle in and the season progresses.

Hotel run down. Half board evening meal chaotic. Food luke warm. Service not organised. We were allocated a dingy room looking out on a scrapyard of old hotel furniture. One receptionist was so rude and sarcastic she shouldn't be that role. Avoid staying here at all costs! Breakfast was great the first 2 days apart from have to pay extra for sausage and bacon. !! Then on 3rd day they would no longer cook fresh omelette.
