Located just over five kilometres south-east from Dublin centre, Ballsbridge is a lively, affluent village featuring lots of upmarket boutiques and eateries. At the neighbourhood’s centre is the River Dodder, over which lies a three-arch stone bridge. Known as ‘Ball’s Bridge’, it was originally built by the merchant Ball family in the 16th century.
