Oman is a relatively safe country — crime is low, besides from petty in streets, which you’ll need to keep an eye out for. If you're out at night, make sure you take care in public places and keep your possessions close, to prevent pesty pickpockets.
The native language is Arabic Oman, although there are many other dialects, which include Arab Gulf, Arab Dhofari, South Baluchi, Malayalam, and Bengali. Don’t worry though, English is spoken widely in all the tourist resorts and regions.

Oman has pleasant temperatures all year round. The summer months, between June – August are particularly hot, so perfect for soaking up the sun on the golden beaches! January is the low season, when temperatures are slightly cooler, around 26°C — ideal for exploring the majestic Jebel Akhdar mountains and Saiq Plateau.
Depending on how many activities you want to do, Oman is great for a mini break or long-haul stay. You could spend weeks venturing out into the dunes on an Arabian adventure, or simply spend a few days checking out all Oman’s must-see sights!
