OVERVIEW
Located on the outskirts of Faliraki, on the northern tip of the island of Rhodes is the 5 star Mitsis Alila Resort and Spa. Looking out over the Mediterranean Sea and set within landscaped gardens, this all inclusive hotel combines a modern and stylish design with authentic Greek hospitality to offer a welcoming environment to its guests. The five restaurants, four snack bars and five bars offer a variety of cuisines and beverages and include a champagne bar and authentic pizzeria.
The outdoor pool has an extensive sun terrace which overlooks the sea and stretches out to the beachfront. There’s a range of activities for children including water slides, a kids’ club and playground as well as a full daytime and evening entertainment programme. Adults can spend time in the Alila Wellness Spa, with indoor pool, offering a range of treatments and services, or you can take part in one of the many sports on offer such as tennis, water sports and horse riding.

LOCAL AREA AND THINGS TO DO
Take the local bus, which stops directly outside the hotel to Rhodes town, declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the town is steeped in history with influences of Ottoman, Byzantine and Italian architecture everywhere. Whilst there, make sure to visit the medieval castle, called the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, then take time to wander through the alleyways surrounding it, all of which are packed with boutique shops and cafés.
The pretty resorts of Lindos and Pefkos are worth a visit, spend a day exploring this traditional white washed Greek village by enjoying a leisurely lunch or relaxing on the beach. Or for those who want to go further afield, a trip to Turkey is a must. Ferries leave regularly from Rhodes town to the bustling resort of Marmaris, with its grand bazaar and upmarket marina, giving you a taste of another culture and country.

The Mitsis Alila Resort and Spa offers a range of rooms including superior twin sea view rooms, family sea view rooms and suites with some rooms having their own private pool. All rooms have a modern and fresh interior with twin or double beds, a sofa bed, air conditioning and a balcony or terrace. Additional extras include a satellite TV, Wi-Fi and a mini fridge in all rooms. There is an iron and ironing board and choice of pillows available (upon request).

Stunning hotel, professional and helpful reception team. Upgraded to jacuzzi room which was perfectly located over the live evening entertainment with an amazing sea view. Cocktails were the best ever experienced at a all inclusive hotel! Any request was met and all were presented with attention to detail from any of the bars; appropriate glassware, fresh herbs, perfectly sized ice according to the choice of drink. Refreshing non or low alcoholic options with crushed fruits, ginger, beetroot and other delicious ingredients for that daytime pick me up. Bar staff were kept super busy and at times it was necessary to queue or look out for table staff but drinks were always expertly executed so worth the wait. Nine restaurants meant varied food choices and wonderful views especially at the upper floor Pan Asian, Brunch or Burger Bar which require booking. Patisserie style desserts, fresh crepes, ice cream and tea corner is a lovely treat along with the champagne bar. The main restaurant has a picturesque setting for outside dining but the buffet dinner choices were basic so worth looking at other restaurant options. Beach pizzeria was a tasty snack, heard guests saying one piece is not enough, it’s so good you just have to go back for more! Staff were amazing, can’t fault Mitsis Alila. Don’t usually go back to a hotel twice but would consider returning.

Don’t even know where to start. Been all over Europe and lived in Miami, New York etc. This is by far, and I mean by far, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. On arrival, bags are taken off you, a glass of champagne is brought over while the lovely staff sort out your room. The rooms are immaculate. The maids cleaning was spotless. Room service amazing (even for my late night 2am cheeseburgers).
The restaurants are out of this world, as is the service. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Nothing is ever too much. You literally don’t need to move to get a drink, staff will take your order on the beach, by the pool, in the lobby & off course in the restaurants.
The pools are amazing and well kept, the late night entertainment is excellent & did I mention the service? 10/10 experience. Couldn’t fault anything at all.
I see people complaining about getting beds by the pools. Yes it’s busy, but that’s the same everywhere. Just get up that little bit earlier and enjoy the sunshine!!
Looking forward to coming back next year already and it will most certainly be an annual visit!! Thank you to all at team Mitsis Alila for an amazing stay. See you soon!
