OVERVIEW
Signing “Retreat in the heart of the city”, Epoque will conjure up a memorable experience for business and leisure travellers alike. Nestled in an oasis of serenity in the very heart of Bucharest, Epoque brings together all the attributes of a de luxe sojourn: suite-only lodging facilities with ample living and bedroom areas, a fine dining restaurant, a state-of-the-art SPA and a premium Conference & Events Center.
Enjoying a gorgeous location near Cismigiu Park and within walking distance to all landmarks that define Bucharest’s identity, Epoque allows you to stroll effortlessly to the Romanian Athenaeum or the Bucharest Opera House for an evening performance, to the Royal Palace which is now hosting the National Art Museum, or to Piata Constitutiei for an open air concert.
Theatres, live-music venues and the bustling Old City Centre are also within easy reach. For business travels, Hotel Epoque is conveniently located in proximity of the business and banks district.
Opened in the autumn of 2010, Epoque is a creation of beauty and comfort, destined to accommodate its guests in all personal freedom. As a family business, Epoque has a cult for individuality and celebrates the concept of travel as experience. Epoque is a boutique that cherishes identity, savoir-faire and grace. In the deepest respect for true hospitality and authenticity, our state-of-the-art infrastructure and high-end amenities are distilled to serve, not to enslave. “L’art de vivre” is at the core of Epoque’s philosophy since inception and we are committed to offering our guests a sense of time and place that is true to our heritage, and a sense of harmony that is timeless.
Epoque’s architecture proposes a tribute to Bucharest’s “petit Paris” age in classical French style. The interior is a more personal experience, revealing a contemporary interpretation of the Neo-Romanian style typical for the first half of the XIXth century, with a strong hold on national attributes. The rooms are gracefully shaped with arcs and columns recalling monastic serenity and colors are noble and peaceful, inducing an omnipresent feeling of harmony.

I wasn't too sure as to what to expect so below is a summary; Location = Excellent Facilities = Excellent Accomodation = Excellent You even get a mobile phone that is loaded with local maps, things to do and see and the ability to make local and international calls, and all of that is free. and to be clear, all the above mean absolutely nothing if it were not for the staff. All the way from the housekeepers, to the girls running the pool and the spas, to the recpetion desk, to the restaurant staff, to the chefs and the head chef. These people just could not do enough for you to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. If i return to Bucharest, which I most likely will, then I will look no further and definately stay here again.

A very very nice hotel. Excellent facilities and rooms. The spa was a big plus point. We didn't use the restaurant, but the breakfast was very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The bar was very nice but did not stock draught beers. It wasn't the best location, in a residential area with a 15 minute walk to the Old Town area. However, the walk was through the beautiful Cismigiu Park for the most part which was a pleasure. Very small let down was the failure to leave a proper spoon in the room - the usage of cheap plastic ones was not fitting to the rest of the grandeur. Cleanliness was 10/10. Rooms (junior suite) were very spacious with plenty of space and multiple windows.
