LOCAL AREA AND THINGS TO DO

Cala d’Or is all about the beach life, with Cala Esmerelda boasting white sand, a secluded spot and azure waters. Cala Gran Beach is slightly larger but still has a relaxed vibe. Along the coastline there are walking trails that run through the pine tree forests and with a little exertion, you may even want to climb up to Santueri Castle, a 14th century, cliff-side fortress with views out across the coastline and S’Horta village. In the town there are restaurants, bars and shops lining the water’s edge, and the area is known for its marina, Cala Llonga.

Nearby Fantasy Park Cala d’Or is a child’s idea of paradise, with bouncy castles, trampolines, go karting and al fresco eateries.

Standard, air conditioned apartments at the Apartamentos Cala d’Or Playa come with their own furnished balconies, two single beds and two sofa beds, a living/dining area and a separate bedroom, an en-suite bathroom with a hairdryer, bath and shower, a television, telephone and kitchenette that includes a fridge, microwave, ceramic hob, coffee maker and teapot, kettle, toaster and cooking utensils. Safety deposit boxes are available at an extra cost. Superior apartments are newer, with classic, contemporary décor and have views across the gardens and pool, or from the third storey up, of the sea. There’s also a Nespresso machine included, as well as two satellite televisions and a safety deposit box.
