Horseshoe Las Vegas

We booked this hotel because we were getting married and spending our honeymoon in the hotel. It was special to us and Ballys had asked for what reason we were staying when we booked. However, not that we asked for a fuss, but they made no big deal at all about our reason and after realising that they still charged the daily resort fee of over £40 a day, we said it made the holiday very expensive in the end. They asked for my credit card and charged it plus £50 a day as a waiver. They did take that off at the end but gave no explanation or receipt or breakdown until the day we checked out. There were hardly any staff around. They didn’t answer their phone. The room was cleaned every day, the air con was very useful and apart from the expected noise outside, the room was big and quiet. We had a very long walk to get to it from the lift as our room overlooked the fountains and the Eiffel Tower restaurant, which we got used to. It wasn’t the cheapest of hotels but it was good for location and it had a good pool. It is undergoing a new owner and will be renamed The Horseshoe in December when works are completed so lots of workmen and alterations going on at present.

Large bedroom, plainly decorated but clean. Housekeeping always bought new towels every day. Aircon worked well. Nice sized TV. Includes safe and fridge (no expensive mini-bar!!). I had partial view of Bellagio fountains which was a bonus!
