It’s a shame, the hotel could be great, check in was very slow due to the amount of golfer groups and only one member of staff on reception, would recommend a separate check in for the golf groups so the other guests do not wait, plus a concierge would be great for any adhoc questions. We upgraded to a superior sea view room, the best bit was the view. There was not much superior about it, a random kitchen in the room that I wouldn’t use, no guest information in the room advising the guests of what the hotel offers and times for the restaurant. Adding insult to injury I got charged for the water in the supposed mini bar, no bath robe or slippers supplied. Not sure what I got in addition by upgrading. Oh and the air conditioning failed to work even after maintenance attended twice🤨, the breakfast was ok but the same every day, no variety. The hotel bar was lacking in atmosphere plus we got charged for playing pool, €11 rip off plus we had a visit from a cockroach from under the table. The pool area was good but would not recommend for young children as they could easily trip over on the surrounding surface. There was no information about getting the towels from the spa, it was only because we asked another guest. Maintenance was being carried out around the pool steps and again no advice or apology for the noise from the hotel. I would recommend the coffee bar, the food is good and prices are very reasonable, plus the service was great.
