Crown Paradise Club Cancun Hotel

I've never given a review purely out of not being bothered BUT I have to warn everyone DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!! absolute Sham. 1) on arrival, when we got to our very unattractive room my daughter 8yrs old got locked in the toilet as the door knob was broken from inside I had to literally break in to get her out. Went to complain immediately and was told they will only send Maintenance rather than change our rooms. 2) bath was dirty, it hadn't been washed. Turned on the shower and that wasn't working either. Went downstairs again and was told they can only change our room the next day, I then asked how do we shower today? WAIT FOR IT! they told us to use the hospitality room by the concierge to shower loool. I was in SHOCK. 3) there are 4 restaurants in this hotel, 3 had to be pre booked in order to dine. ONLY way to book was through room service, we spent 2 HOURS on the line trying to book just to be told its full (this was an everyday issue for everyone mind you) when we finally got a reservation after ignoring their usual excuse we noticed the restaurant was practically empty 4) kids play area shuts at 4pm (silly hour) but that's not even the major problem. THE POOLS WERE AS COLD AS ICE!!! I mean FREEZING so kids could not even use it. I approached a staff and she said ALL parents complain but they refuse to do anything about it, she even suggested leaving a bad review maybe that will push them to do something. Overall this hotel was an absolute waste of money, food was crap (you also had to pay for room service?, entertainment was crap customer service from reception was appalling (workers were friendly though) if I could give this hotel 0 star I would

the staff were excellent. room excellent as usual. the disappointments were very few sunbeds on the adult only pool side, bad idea to have unnecessary tables and chairs nobody used them. where the sunbeds were before. ( put them back.) also in the lobby lounge not many seats and tables, people were complaining that they had to stand, some saying they won't return.
