The Occidental Jandia Mar, formerly known as the Barcelo Jandia Mar, is a 4 star hotel overlooking the 12 kilometre long Jandia Beach on the south coast of Fuerteventura. LOCAL AREA AND THINGS TO DO
With car and bike hire available from reception, and a short walk to the beach and resort centre, it’s easy to get out and about to explore the local area. Shops and bars are located just 500 m away. But if you’d like to have a wider choice, then a day trip to the island’s capital, Puerto del Rosario, is just a bus ride away.
The Acua Waterpark in Corralejo, to the north of the island, is popular with families. For something completely different take a catamaran over to Lanzarote to see the volcanic Timanfaya National Park.
