Welcome to Havana
Once nicknamed the 'Key to the New World', Havana is known today for its gorgeous beaches and party culture. This is the land of salsa dancing, known here as the 'Casino' dance. If you're looking to perfect your moves, or just learn the basics, you can receive expert tuition at the renowned La Casa del Son dance club. Havana overlooks the stunning Playas de Este beach, which is just a short drive from the city centre and is known for its very clean sands. Head to the Avenida De Los Presidentes at night for a fantastic outdoor party, or book a private tour during the day and discover the city's key sights as you listen to a professional English-speaking guide. The city is famous for having an unusually high number of statues. It is also blessed with many fine colonial landmarks, probably the most famous of which is the Baroque-themed Havana Cathedral, one of the most impressive cathedrals in the Caribbean.
