At Plage d’Aghir you can relax on the white-sand beach with tall palm trees as your backdrop. Head to Restaurant Port d’Aghir if you want to eat some delicious fresh seafood without leaving the beach.If you don’t want to leave Tunisia without a trip to the Sahara desert, the easiest place to see the sands when staying in Djerba is Nefta. Choose a hotel in south-west Djerba to be nearest Nefta; the oasis town that is a major area for date-growing. It’s a five hour drive, including a ferry, so you might want to make a stopover on the way.
