Holidays to Zante (Zakynthos)

As famous for its glitzy neon-lit strip as it is for its ancient ruins, a holiday in Zante, or Zakynthos as the locals call it, is one you’re not likely to forget. If partying in Laganas isn’t quite your style, then the so-called “Flower of The Orient” will delight you further inland with its peaceful and picturesque countryside. Sail along the Aegan sea and discover the burnt-orange smugglers ship abandoned in Shipwreck Bay and don’t forget to say hi to the loggerhead turtles as they float curiously towards you in the waters. Take a drive to the North West’s zig-zag mountains and you’ll find fresh lemon trees and olive groves to entrance your senses, a world far removed from the sting of ouzo and late-night gyros.
