Corralejo is a laid back resort and quiet in February. The Atlantic Garden is a lovely place and great if you are looking for a quiet holiday spot. It is about 8-9 minutes walk from the beach and about 20 minutes walk to the town centre. From the AG to the dunes is only about 10 minutes on a bike. A taxi from the town centre to the Atlantic Garden is €3.50. You can get to the Atlantic Garden by public transport from the airport, or a taxi costs about €35 I heard. The No. 3 bus from the airport to Puerto Rosario is €1.30pp. The No. 6 bus from the main bus station in Puerto Rosario to Corralejo is €3.25 pp each way. Ask the bus driver to let you off at El Campanario centro commercial (shopping centre). It has a clock tower. The Atlantic Garden is right beside it. There was a kettle, toaster, microwave, washing up liquid, tea towel, sponge, cd player, loo roll all supplied. There were even adequate pots and pans. We asked for a coffee machine and got one in ten minutes. The TV only has 2 English channels, BBC 4 for news and CBS drama showing Dallas. The apartment was spotless, nicely decorated and spacious for two people. The only drawback was the light in the bedroom was poor – bring an individual reading light if you want to read at night! We were in room 217 and it gets sun all day. It looked like 215, 216 would also get sun all day. I can’t see how any ground floor apartments would get much sun so request what you want in advance. Bring your mozzie zapper even in February. We rented very good bicycles from Harley Days rental in the El Campanario centre, they were €10 pp per day. You need to leave a cash deposit, they don’t take credit cards. The Maxorata hotel up the road also do bikes for the same price but the choice was very limited and they were poorly maintained. There is a market in the El Campanario centre on a Saturday and Sunday selling mostly jewellery and crafts. There is also a more downmarket market (and cheaper) on a Friday beside the Water Park, about 10 minutes walk away. Re restaurants, avoid La Tacita in the El Campanario centre. Yuk. We had a lovely meal in La Plaza in the town centre. It’s a little tapas place surrounded by plants and flowers and the food is delicious. Another great tapas place is the Pincha Cabra on the same street. It is on a corner and has murals of goats outside. There is a little sunny courtyard out the back where you can eat. The food was lovely. In both places they offered us a free shot of honey rum at the end of the meal. They have live music in on a Monday and Friday evenings too. The restaurants on the seafront all offer the usual tourist stuff. There was only one that seemed to do the Menu del Dia. The Antiguo Café del Puerto has a guitarist at lunchtime on a Sunday, very pleasant and the food is good too.
Top Tip: Room 217 gets sun all day. In the town centre, the Pincha Cabra tapas restaurant and La Plaza tapas bar do delicious food with friendly service.

Enjoyed the weeks stay and would recommend as somewhere quiet, clean and basic.
i was looking for a quiet holiday close to the nature reserve and was not disappointed. Staff were friendly and helpful and beds were comfortable. Great value for 2 star accommodation.
Top Tip: I spent from 2 to 5 hours per day walking the nature reserve away from the beach and was very surprised at the diversity and quantity of the plant, insect, and animal life.
