Our customer reviews
Lorraine from Bedworth
From arrival to departure (31.8.2011-6.9.2011) we were met with friendly helpful and supportive English speaking staff who could not do enough for you.
The self-catering room was clean, well equipped (although could have done with a kettle - so had to make do with boiling water in a saucepan) for tea/coffee etc. We experienced simialr to other guests' reviews that despite putting towels in the bath to be changed, this was not always automatically done and you needed to place the request sign on the door handle if you wished the room to be cleansed/towels changed.
The hotel and resort facilities were very good with plenty of activities and a variety of entertainment that catered for most needs. The 'Beach Club' was particularly impressive; unlike other reviewers have expressed, we had no trouble finding sunbeds at anytime for our family of four (2 adults and a 11/14 year old).
The food was very good, very varied and refreshed regularly; we had no complaints and are used to holidaying in a variety of countries and hotel grades and felt the 4* rating was reflected well in the food quality and choice.
The resort comprioses 3 hotels (Vilage, Paradise and Polynesia), our staff at the Village was enjoyable, with no concerns about the hotel, food, staff, service etc of note. The main pool had to be closed on day for 4 hours (10-2) as a child had 'poohed in the pool'; however the pool was immediately closed for health and safety reasons, there were plenty of other pools available, albeit a brief 5-10 minute walk to the Beach Club; clearly the hotel who acetd responsibly, cannot be held accountable for parents who fail to ensure their children are toileted, wear appropriate waterproof child swimwear pants and monitor their needs - after all this is a 'family' resort!
We would cerainly have no concerns about revisiting this hotel based on our experience of it or, the sister hotel - Polynesia - which we visited briefly and had originally intended to stay at except it was full for the dates we had available; it looked very impressive and stood up to the reviews we had read and had been told about it.
If you want all-inclusive we found booking it there on site seemed cheaper as you are offered a 10% discount on advertised cost(s) by some.
Take a travel kettle if you like tea/coffee in your room outside of room service hours - there is a 20 Euro service charge for all room service orders so the morning cuppa might be costly without one or, boyscout skills!
Don't trust the taxi drivers quotes on fares, ask to see the tariff book as our transfer charges varied from Eu: 28-40; but taxi drivers in many countries inflate charges for tourists in my experience!
Remember to put your 'Make up the room' sign out if you want to enhance your chances of having your towels changed!

“ Great hotel for families. Hotel supermarket very expensive, would recommend hiring a car and getting out and about. The Beach Club is excellent, plenty of sunbeds and pools for the children.
“ Top Tip: Excellent restaurants up in the mountain area of Benalmaden Peublo
David from Glasgow
Accomadation was clean, comfortable and enough room for a family of four ( 2 children younger than 7).
Hotel is very isolated not near supermarket, bars, resturants and beach. Think they want you to be all inclusive.
Attempted to charge us 59 euros for breakfast ( 2 adults & 2 children). Didn't pay as I don't like getting ripped off ! This is actually more expensive than the Old Course St Andrews for breakfast.
Allow a minimum of 100 Euros for Buses or 210 Euros for taxis for 2 trips to nearest bars, resturants etc.
“ Top Tip: Euro Cafe near the square in Fuengelora. Great for coffee and a local churos with chocolate sauce. Also served a rather large brandy.

We loved this hotel,it had plenty of fantastic swimming pools, great kids club (age 4 years)lovely big room, gym, free parking, spa centre.
The sister hotel also has cinema and bowling.
“ Top Tip: drinks are dear so stock up at the shop, eat out at the sandpiper fuengirolla for consistent great food as the hotel stops selling food at 6pm.
