“ As an Irish Mature Couple (early pensioners) we would say we were happy with the hotel. However the hotel is dominated by Scandinavian people mostly pensioners. But then Albir is generally a resort for them. It was very hot end of Sept so the small outside sitting area was quickly requisitioned by those who finished their dinner early. Inside lounges not airconditioned and very hot. For dinner if you order a bottle of wine you cant take a glass out to finish in the lounge so we got into the habit of just ordering a glass of wine. Dinner is very good, breakfast adequate, teabags horrible so we bought a bag of Tetleys in Lidl next to the hotel (only 1.85 euro for a bag of 40). Entertainment poor, mostly a DJ clowning about. The hotel is very clean and the staff are superb.Supermarkets are closed on Sundays. They dont sell any sort of medication but there is a 24 hour pharmacy nearby. The hotel is that little bit too far from the beach esp in the hot weather. The beach is very pretty but stoney. Sun Loungers cost 4 euro a day which is not too bad. Bus costs 1.50 euro to get to Benidorm but after a couple of hours in there we were glad to get back to the peace of Albir.
“ Top Tip: On Tuesday the bus to Altea ( a few miles away ) takes you to the market. After the market it is an easy walk to the church and the old town. This is an easier way to reach the Old Town rather than climbing up from the seafront. The old town is really worth the visit. The restaurants here look a bit classy but they are not expensive.

The Albir Playa Hotel is a lovely hotel, clean spacious with very friendly staff.
The food in the restaurant was excellent with a wide variety of choices.
A good walk from the beach, however there is a courtesy bus available.
“ Top Tip: There are plenty of restaurants and pubs in Albir.

“ We have stayed at this hotel at least 8 times in the last 4 years for holidays. Myself and my wife always go here for our main holiday because it suits all our holiday needs. the hotel is spotless, the food is great and the staff are second to none. The resort of Albir is the type of resort we like and you also have the added bonus of being able to hop on the No. 10 bus to Benidorm if you wish, which is about a 20 minute bus journey. The one thing the hotel does not have is good nightly entertainent.
“ Top Tip: Take a walk out to Faro lighthouse which will take about 30 minutes at a stroll. Absolutely beautiful scenery so take a camera.
Josephine from Lanesboro
“ Hotel was beautiful. Could not fault Hotel but breakfast was not good and we went out most mornings with added extra expense. Bad choice for breakfast no cereal. Otherwise hotel was very clean and nice.
