I had a wonderful stay at The Clarion Hotel. Lovely atmosphere and great food. In addition they upgraded me to a suite on the first floor and it was truly amazing.

I sat in the bar and completed some of my study in a lovely relaxed space.

I never manage to get a nights sleep on my first night in any hotel but in The Clarion I slept soundly. It was lovely and quiet and peaceful and I felt safe in my room.

I will definitely return and a very special thanks to Karen Gallagher at reception for her friendly welcome and in particular my upgrade !

What a lovely experience on a cold winter's night.
Top Tip: I was not looking for anything close by. I was very happy just to be in a beautiful hotel.

For a Single Female Business Traveller, the room was too far away from reception; Down narrow corridors/hallways to nowhere. Restaurant closed for the Winter, but bar food available

Breakfast was ok... edible but certainly not 4 star. one big gripe was the check in time of 4pm. Most hotels have check in at 2. When we arrived we were told by front of house receptionist that we had been upgraded free of charge. Delighted with this of course until we tried to find the room. we got lost several times. It was like a maze trying to find it. We had bn allocated the very last room on the first floor...3184 It was so far away I thought it was part of the apartments next door. The room itself was fine. It consisted of a separate bedroom and living room. I wasnt dissatisfied with the hotel as such. It was just a little less 4 star thanexpected.

From the minute we walked in the door until we left again we had a ball! Check in was a breeze the Reception staff were very efficient, nothing was a problem to them, our room was huge with double & single bed, tv, wardrobe space and all the mod cons required! The living area is a lovely large area with comfy sofas tv and kitchenette fill with all the essentials. Hotel bar & restaurant were very good to eat in! It's a good all round hotel :-)
Top Tip: Plenty of shops in Sligo town, great bars & restaurants all in the local area within walking distance
