Insider blogger tips to New York

Walking through the streets of New York is like being in one big film set, but one of the city’s most iconic films – and one of my favourites – is Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Walking past Fifth Avenue’s famous shops, you almost expect Audrey Hepburn to walk right past. And where else to start a location tour than Tiffany’s flagship store on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street? Browse the sparkling aisles and, if you want to take home one of their signature little blue boxes, you can get a silver Tiffany chain for $50.

Fun Fact

Audrey Hepburn nearly turned down the role of Holly Golightly, as she felt too shy to play such an extroverted character.

Whilst the best weather takes place between April and November, visiting early in the year or at Christmas can help secure a bargain with shorter queues at major attractions and the chance to see the city sprinkled with snow and fairy lights.

The Tiffany & Co. flagship store on New York’s Fifth Avenue, has been operating for over 75 years and is more than a popular place for Breakfast at Tiffany’s fans, but also for proposals and to view one of the largest yellow diamonds ever discovered.
