SUNBATHE ON LLORET BEACH

Soak up the Spanish sun on the seafront! With over 1 km of pale golden sand, the Blue Flag Lloret Beach is the biggest and named after the town. There are plenty of facilities on the beach including lockers, and leisure activities such as parasailing, snorkelling and jet skiing.

VISIT PARISH CHURCH SANT ROMA

One of the most recognisable attractions in Lloret de Mar is Parish Church Sant Roma in the centre of town, adorned with colourful tiles and flecks of gold. Dating back to the 15th century, the Gothic-style church continues to play an important role in day to day life and tradition. While much of the church was damaged during the Spanish Civil War, restorations to the building have preserved its original design and structure. It’s open daily to the public.

EXPLORE SANTA CLOTILDE GARDENS

For a peaceful escape, visit Santa Clotilde Gardens. This romantic landscaped garden sits atop a cliff offering spectacular views over the sea. It was designed by Nicolau Rubió i Tuduri and features intricate sculptures of mermaids by María Llimona. Throughout the lush green gardens, all of the paths, squares and steps are surrounded by perfectly shaped hedges, trees and flowerbeds.

VISIT THE MODERNIST CEMETERY

Designed and built during the Catalan Modernism movement, this extravagant cemetery full of tombs and crypts was commissioned by wealthy Indianos. Famous sculptors including Josep Puig i Cadafalch contributed work here, and today the cemetery stands as both a work of art and resting place.
