The hotel room which was an outside chalet, was modern, and very clean. As well as the usual tea/coffee making facilities, there was a small fridge, which was very useful. The bathroom was small and the light lit by a sensor when you walked into the bathroom. Unfortunately, when I was in the shower, the light went out completely. I had to rummage about in the dark, turn off the shower, step gingerly onto the bathroom floor and walk to the middle of the room, then the light came back on. Someone more elderly would have struggled with this and this is obviously a design fault. The chalet room was quite small and not really suitable for a stay of more than a weekend for more than one person. There was just simply not enough space or drawers etc, to put everything away. I would also point out that the only toiletry provided was a very small circular piece of soap. Luckily I had packed two small sample shower gels, which I was able to use. If I had not brought these I would have had to venture out to find a shop. There is no such shop on the site. I would also point out that the nearest shop is a car ride away, at least 1 mile. The meal times are either 8-9am for breakfast and 6-7 for dinner. I found these inflexible times unsuitable, as when you went into the dining room, although you had a table number, and could be sharing with someone, as we were there was no one to show you what to do or where everything was or what the procedure was. I found that very disconcerting.
