Enjoy The Northumberland Coastal Path St Cuthbert's Way and The Cheviot Hills. Visit world famous sites - Holy Island The Farne Islands the Northumbrian Castles and St Abb's Head are all close by. Hadrian's Roman Wall The Borders Newcastle and Edinburgh are all within driving distance with the two regional capitals accessible by main line train from Berwick Station. NEARBY!! A 5 minute walk away is quiet unspoilt Cheswick Beach which is reputedly the most tranquil on the coastline of Northumberland. Cheswick and Goswick beaches are part of the Lindisfarne Nature Reserve. Easily access the surrounding countryside and its attractions stroll along the beach bird watch fish cycle take a round of golf tour by car or simply relax in our grounds and enjoy views across the coast to Holy Island and beyond. East House is equidistant from the major regional capitals of Edinburgh and Newcastle upon Tyne each 63 miles away via the A1 found 1 mile to the west of our home. National Cycle Route 1 Coast and Castles passes East House. A 4 mile cycle ride north to Berwick upon Tweed finds the northern end of The Pennine Cycleway - National Cycle Route 68 which soon links to NCR 76 - Round The Forth. Goswick Links Golf Course is about a mile away. It is a James Braid masterpiece acknowledged as a classic links golf course so much so it is an Open Qualifying venue. Fish the world famous River Tweed - premier salmon/sea trout river
So we can offer exclusive and individual attention to our guests we currently have available one large comfortable master bedroom located in a separate wing of the house along with an optional children's room if guests are accompanied by young family members. The children's room will not be let separately if the Master Bedroom is occupied by a couple. In the same wing is a large well appointed private bathroom for the exclusive use of guests staying in the Master Bedroom and their children.
East House is a wi fi hotspot. Your hosts are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and are able to offer expert information about the area and what it has to offer. Bob is and experienced angler and can offer sound advice regarding this pursuit. Visitors are encouraged to regard the house as home for the duration of their stay. If a lazy day in your room or the garden is your choice then feel free! We are gregarious - join us if invited or be assured of solitude as you wish!

Directions:
Head north on the A1 past Alnwick and Belford. 10 miles beyond Belford look for the signs for Cheswick and Goswick - turn right here. After three quarters of a mile take a sharp left and then a sharp right bend. Look for the houses on the left. (The middle of these is a converted school house.)
