We booked this hotel for one night over bank holiday weekend on the spur of the moment.....now wished we had spent the time to look at the reviews. Parking was round the back, just managed to squeeze in there was a van that doesn't move and car that cannot move.... Flat tyre with an old matress on the top of it! Any way we managed to get the car in and went to book in. We were given the keys and Tolstoy we were on the third floor, there was three of us, the lift has a maximum capacity of two, very old lift like the building. We were not given any details regarding breakfast etc although the was an old tatty folder in the room that told us the basics. The beds were ok if you sleep on your back in the middle of the bed! If you turned ov you would roll off! The water was very hot and by the time you had got the temperature ok in the shower the hot water went of so veery quickly gave up on the shower. We turned down our radiator to one but by seven thirty in the morning the room was roasting! The breakfast was awful, don't know what the bacon was but definitely wasn't bacon! Ok if you like toast you got plenty of that together with tea and coffee. There was cereals also although we chose not to have these. Hotel mainly the older generation although I do wonder how they manage with the stairs etc. Whole building in desperate need of updating, even the curtains, of which you had one pair did not fit the windows s there were two windows of different sizes so the curtain only came half way across the window! Would not go back ever!
