Lawrenny Lodge

We offer eight comfortable bedrooms some of which have river and sea views. All rooms have private en- suite facilities and are a mixture of twin and double rooms plus one single. We have a comfortable lounge area where you can relax after your day out and about and a bar so that you can enjoy a quiet drink as the sun sets over the estuary For breakfast you can have the full Welsh or lighter options. Our food is sourced locally and bought from local farms and markets whenever we can. Barmouth is known as the place 'where the mountains meet the sea' and is a great location to stay as a base for walking bird-watching cycling mountain- biking and exploring the breathtaking scenery of Snowdonia National Park. Lawrenny Lodge is close to the start of the Mawddach Trail and the Panorama Walk The lodge has its own car park for use by our guests.

There is a good choice of pubs and restaurants all within a few minutes walk of Lawrenny Lodge with some 'al fresco' dining around the harbour area.

Eco Policy:
We minimise our use of needless packaging and do not use packaged portions of butters and jams for breakfast. We bake our own bread and thus it is free from any added chemicals. We use glass bottles in preference to plastic bottles for the courtesy bottle of water we provide. Our bacon and sausages are sourced from our local butcher and we make a deliberate attempt to minimise food-miles in the purchase of our food products.

Mobility Description:
We do not have any ground floor bedrooms. Some of our rooms also have steps up or down into the bathrooms and are unsuitable for those with limited mobility. We are happy to discuss your requirements if you think this might cause you difficulty.

Directions:
Take the A496 from Dolgellau towards Barmouth. Upon entering Barmouth follow the road around a small harbour area. Continue past this and Lawrenny Lodge can be found on the right hand side immediately before the Panorama Road turning to the right. (Tip for all satnav fans - some systems will send you down the A493 towards Penmaenpool (from Dolgellau) to take the toll bridge over to the A496 to Barmouth on the last leg of your journey. This is fine - but the bridge does close around 6pm;
