OVERVIEW

The Estoril Hotel is a former Gentleman s Residence built in 1880 and welcoming guests since 1920. Now converted to a Guest House. Just 45 minutes from Newquay Airport 5 hours from London by train or car and close to the Isles of Scillly Ferry and Heliport. We provide a personal level of service. The house has maintained many period features like open fires stained glass windowspanel doorsbeautiful cornices as well as incorporating soft carpets free Wi Fi broadband to all rooms memory foam mattressesduvets en suite showers/baths to all rooms free tea and coffee making facilities flat screen TV s hairdryers etc. We have good reviews and a wealth of local knowledge of places of interest walking scuba diving sailing and of course shopping. Penzance is an ideal centre for visiting St Micheals Mount Lands End The Minack Theatre many quaint harbours stunning beaches gardens and much more yet having the convenience of good and interesting shopsrestaurants and pubs.

We were very disappointed. The hotel looked drab and run-down. The bathroom had paint peeling off the walls. When we turned the hot tap on - we were unable to turn it off. The owner did mend this very quickly, but then we were still unable to have a bath as there was no plug! The owner did try several plugs but non of them fitted. He then went out to buy one. We found dust on the chairs and around the edge of the carpet. There was no remote for the television and the curtains let in the light.
