Senegambia Beach Hotel
Our Customer Rating
(Based on 43 customer reviews)
The hotel was fine and the people lovely and always willing to help. Beds were made and sheets and towels changed everyday. Free towel was provided for the beach. The only problem I had was at lunch which was at the beach we had to keep telling the staff that we were full board.

The hotel was fine and the people lovely and always willing to help. Beds were made and sheets and towels changed everyday. Free towel was provided for the beach. The only problem I had was at lunch which was at the beach we had to keep telling the staff that we were full board. We weren't told that there was a buffet which included a desert on Friday and Mondays so we missed the Friday. The issue was when we went to check out, the reception lady at that time told us we had a bill to pay. I was adamant there wasn't she said full board was Breakfast and Evening meals and showed me a card we were given which was actually circled for the Half Board. I showed her my card which showed FB so she then asked another member of staff and the issue was resolved but we felt a bit better understanding of the meals and their rules would be better. There was entertainment every day which was lovely, if you didn't want to walk the strip which was a couple of minutes walk. There was also a Beauty & Massage Salon I had a couple of massages which was very cheap and the guy Dave was excellent. Half an hour massage was about £9 I pay £20 in the UK. There was plenty of choices for food and you had a choice of adding your drinks to your bill or paying when bought which is what we did. Loved the cheeky monkeys which were plentiful. Lots of lovely birds and it was nice to see the feeding of the vultures. I am not sure if there was a charge for irons and hairdryers but they were apparently available. There were 2 big pools and 2 small ones. There was a quite one and the other was closer to the beach where there was music and games. I liked the fact that you weren't allowed to just put your towels on the beds to save them and go off for half the day. If you did that and a guest needed the bed your towels were removed. This ensured that there was always beds to lie on which had the extra cushion making them comfortable enough to fall a sleep on. For anyone who want to swim at the beach you have to go down steps which may not be suitable for elderly or children. I only saw adults in the sea, most people stayed at the pool. The latest entertainment went onto was 11pm so not too late to disturb anyone. Money Exchange was onsite and they buy back when leaving without charging commission. All in all it was a lovely hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the beautiful warm weather in February.

Arrived back yesterday after one of the best holidays ever .. The Senegambia Beach hotel was superb .. ANY negatives at all are petty .. The room I was in was looking a bit tired BUT it was spotlessly clean and I dont go on holiday to stay in my room .. The other was an issue because of me using a mobility scooter , HOWEVER that is not an issue over the hotel , but if you wanted to go down the strip and explore elsewhere without using a taxi .. The wildlife I loved and seeing the vultures , as a photographer I was in my element .. The bird people there are excellent and I can recommend the creek trip for those that love to photograph wildlife .. My only comment about being unsure of suitability are the facts that there is a pretty steep slope which you would need to go along to get to the restaurant and reception .. There were older people with walkers . but I suspect they were their own which they need to use all the time
