The hotel itself was lovely and bright and my daughter and I had a spacious room on the ground floor, The breakfasts included everything you could possibly want and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to any of our friends.
There were just two things which we felt were lacking. 1) the lack of parking, even in the overflow car park, and we had to park on the road.
2) On Bank Holiday Monday when we arrived, we were really disgusted in the way the tables in the restaurant near the swimming pools were piled high with left-over food and dirty crockery. I don't think there was one table which had been cleared and it really did look bad. (This is not your fault, but I felt it should be pointed out, as it didn't make us want to go there again)

I wanted a single room close to The Riviera International Centre. I don't know the area, and was delighted to find Toorak Hotel immediately beside it.
Parking was excellent, the staff were very helpful and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and very affordable. After the conference I was able to walk over to the hotel, enjoy the spacious and quiet bar with soft music in the background, and then a good meal in their restaurant. I liked the spaciousness - there was another big comfortable reception room with a flickering flame gas fire, where I was able to sit warmly on my own and catch up with pressing phone calls.
Old fashioned with long corridors, without a modern functional feel, it was a relaxing end to a cold winter's day. I needed to look no further, and will definately go there again when I have more time to look around town.
