We have just returned from a week's stay at Sun Beach apartments in Cala D'or. We were greeted by Maria, who is very helpful and friendly. We had a 3 bedroom apartment, which was very spacious and well kept. The complex itself is fine, though a little tired and could do with a little smartening up. The pool was adequate, though it was very quiet and didn't really seem like the place so take 2 very noisy little boys, so we used a different pool bar. There are 2 or 3 nice beaches nearby, less than 5 minutes walk, and a small handful of restaurants and bars, but it is quite a walk to get into the centre of Cala D'or - about 20-25 minutes. The Sun Beach is not linked to Hotel Tamarix anymore Overall we had a lovely holiday!

Was not happy to have to pay 20 euros for tv remote 21 euros for a cot and 10 euros for the safe. The pool wasn't cleaned while we were there and was under a tree so very dirty by the end of the week. We booked a two bedroom room for two couples and they would only give us one key so made it difficult to go our separate ways. Beds were uncomfortable and cushions on sofa were broken. The dinning table was broken and had pieces of metal sticking out of the sides. Requested two double beds and was not accommodated. Floors were very dirty all week. Appliances didnt work. Local paths were unsuitable for a buggy and ours was broken due to this. There was also about 30 steps down to any beach so unsuitable for a buggy.

We found the apartment to be spacious, clean and tidy with all the comforts of home. The pool on site was like having your only personal pool, although it is not as shown in the picture above. We preferred to use the facilities at the Tamarix hotel, which is only a 1 minute walk away. Here you have access to a poolside bar and snacks. Being all inclusive we took all our meals in the hotel, which we found to be varied, good quality and plentiful. The staff were always cheerful, and nothing was to much to ask. Like the apartment the hotel was spotlessly clean. Being early season the entertainment was limited, but from the week we left it was changing to nightly. and they were planning daily activities including walks etc. The nearest beach and resort centre was a 10 minute stroll. We would have no hesitation in recommending these apartments, as either a self catering, or a half board or all inclusive holiday.

The appartment we stayed in was larger than I thought. Having the pool outside our door was a bonus my kids loved it. Would go their again.
