Hotel is about a 20 or 30 minutes walk from cefalu along the beach front depending on how fast you walk and its worth mentioning that there are a few steps down to the beach. It's a nice walk though with a footpath all the way. It's quite a big hotel, 2 rolled into 1 I think. Nice pool area and beach was beautiful with free beds. Dinner is a buffet and it's OK, you won't go hungry. There is a fantastic cafe attached to the hotel for coffee, snacks and gelato. Supermarket across the road is very cheap for wine, water etc.

The most important : Food was terrible!! Not tasty and very poor choice, almost same every day. Not recommend to anybody. We bought half board which included breakfasts and dinners (drinks not included) rubbish food. As well was sewage smell in the room all the time. Do not go to that hotel.

The hotel was great, the pool was bigger than we thought and we always managed to get loungers. The food was quite repetitive, I never thought I'd be fed up with pizza and pasta but every night they were on offer as well as fish and meat dishes. The snack bar was reasonably priced and good to get our lunch although the system was rather strange having to queue to pay for what you wanted then queue to get the food and queue again to get the drinks! My daughter and I really enjoyed the aquagym and dance every day in the sea in the morning and the pool in the afternoon. The reps were good fun and very talented doing all the entertainment themselves. The beach was down 103 steps but was beautiful and well worth it. The town was ok to walk to in the evening when cooler but too far in the day, buses weren't that reliable, a taxi cost 10E. There was also a door in our room which was locked but it was not very sound proof and we had noisy neighbours! We also got stuck in the lift but were rescued very quickly! All in all a lovely stay, watch out for the drivers they are mad on their phones, don't stop at crossings unless you literally step out in front of them!

The fact that I have visited this hotel 3 times indicates that it ticks boxes for me personally. I went the middle of June on 2 visits and early September on the other visit and had a double room with solo occupancy on a full-board basis in each instance. By Sicily standards the price was very reasonable. It is quite large and seems to go in for private functions but somehow manages to feel relaxed and homely. All meals are buffet, which for me is one of it's attractions. I found the lunchtime buffet choices somewhat limited, but on every visit my stay has been mid season overlapping with high season, in which the lunchtime menu is much more varied. However. as a healthy eater, I was able to find sufficient choice, although the salad bar was boring. The evening menu was reasonably varied although there was an awful lot of pork. The breakfast menu was average but the coffee machines were so slow, for which there was often a queue. The meal sessions seemed a bit shorts but closing time seemed very relaxed. I did not have drinks at the hotel so cannot comment. The dining area is pleasant. It is right beside the railway line from Palermo but this didn't bother me. The guests seemed to be predominantly Italian, but there was sufficient English spoken by staff. Reception staff were cool but polite. I went to the beach rather than the pool area which comprises a not very large main pool and childrens' pool. However passing through it seemed well maintained with plenty of sunbeds and there were activities during the day. The beach is easily accessed from the back of the hotel at the bottom of 111 steps. I liked it because it was so close. It is quite narrow at that point with little rock pools but there is a road with pavement by the beach from there into the centre of the town where the beach gets much bigger but more populated. This was nice for both walking and running (which I do). I would recommend earplugs because the sound insulation is not good and I sometimes got woken up in the night. The rooms and communal areas seemed adequately maintained, the free wifi was excellent and any issues I had, eg air con, water temperature were addressed promptly. There was not a pool bar, although there is a bar/coffee shop downstairs from reception and they have some kind of disco every evening. The location is about 15-20 minutes from the centre but there is a local bus stop across the road, aside from taxis. The historic centre is a maize of narrow streets full of restaurants and bars and there is a huge rock which has a nature reserve. Transfers from Palermo airport are expensive but there is a regular bus to Palermo central station and a regular train service to Cefalu at a fraction of the cost. There are two large supermarkets nearby, I will certainly visit again.

Mixed feelings. It was good value for money but we had to upgrade to get a decent room. We were delighted with our 5th floor room with seaviw and Cefalu along the coast. Full board was good value but unfortunately the food was rarely hot enough. Cold plates and high aircon ensure that the food cools down very quickly. A real shame as the food could have been very appetizing. Staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel bar frequented by locals was great. Very reasonably priced food and drink and great staff.
