Meyrick Hotel

quite an old hotel which would need some refurbishment

Just returned home after a weekend in Galway, staying at the Meyrick Hotel. Excellent location on Eyre Square, right in the heart of his City and so close to all the attractions. This is a busy small city, the centre of which is pedestrianised and offers an excellent range of shops, pubs and all sorts of eateries. The Meyrick is a great place to stay offering very comfortable clean, roomy bedrooms. The public areas are also very good with a smashing bistro and separate Oyster Bar offering an interesting range of Cocktails, so my wife and daughter thought, and a good pint, so my son in law and I thought. Our thanks to all the staff for the level of service and advice provided. An extensive breakfast menu was also part of our package. If arriving by car please note that that parking is provided by a valet service at a charge of €5.00 per day. In our experience this system worked very well indeed
