“ An excellent hotel in a brilliant location. Apple Store and 5th Ave 1 minute walk away. Very large bedroom, room was attended to twice a day. Hairdryer stopped working and it was replaced immediately. Would recommend this hotel.
“ Top Tip: Leave hotel by back entrance and turn right and immediate left where you will find two diners. Just outside the back entrance to the left is a self service diner. Quality Meats restaurant is again outside back entrance - a little expensive but worth it for a treat! And, of course, Central Park across the road....

While needing just a little updating, the hotel was very good. Rooms were cleaned every day. When I asked, reception managed to get us a room higher in the hotel, for a better view of NY. Concierge was fine for arranging tickets for us.
The cost of the drinks and snacks available in the room/fridge was very high though, which is probably the one minor negative point.
Very central accross the road from Central Park, 20 yds from a subway, with bars and restaurants very near. Ideal position which suited us very well.
“ Top Tip: The Jekyll and Hyde resturant which is less than 5 mins walk away, had pretty good food and was quite amusing during our meal. But absolutely definately have a brunch in the Plaza food hall, where the food was prepared before our eyes, was absolutely gorgeous and good value for what you get. A wonderful eating experience. Mickey Mantels was a very good bar for a quick drink, staff very attentive and remenbered our order 3 days later.
