“ Stayed at the Helmsley for 3 nights whilst on a weekend break . It was in an ideal location. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was ideal.it was a good size and clean.

For a classic New York City hotel experience, none of the other Hotels in New York City comes close to The Roosevelt Hotel. Opened in 1924 at the height of the Jazz Age, the "Grand Dame of Madison Avenue" continues to impress guests in its prime location at Madison Avenue and 45th Street in midtown Manhattan. This historic hotel is 2 blocks from Grand Central Station. A $3-million guestroom redecoration in 2003 added a stylish gold-and-green color scheme with cheerful red accents. All guestrooms feature high-speed Internet access (fee). The 18-story Roosevelt greets guests with one of New York most magnificent lobbies and offers the capabilities of a large, full-service hotel at reasonable rates.
“ I stayed at the Roosevelt for four nights for a girls holiday and found it really nice. The foyer is impressive and our room was of a good standard. The bathroom was not the biggest but as New York isn't somewhere you will lounge about, it never mattered. The hotel is well located in midtown Manhatten and you only have to walk one minute down the road for a great local Irish bar called Eamons.

Redecorated in 2002, spacious rooms have accent walls in deep red or green and coordinating print spreads,headboards, and draperies. All have work desks and refrigerators. The sleek 46-story hotel, a calm haven in midtown, welcomes with a pale-beige marble lobby and a small garden. The Room With a View restaurant offers spectacular vistas.
“ While needing just a little updating, the hotel was very good. Rooms were cleaned every day. When I asked, reception managed to get us a room higher in the hotel, for a better view of NY. Concierge was fine for arranging tickets for us.

“ Very good size room, great location, very comfy beds and a great bathroom! Ideal location between central park and times square, tour bus stop right outside and lots of information avaliable from the staff! Only bad points is that there was noise from the corridoors and the lifts can take a long time

“ Excellent location and hotel is comfortable, well kept and everything you'd hope and expect. The little extras such as hot breakfast with plenty of other choices gives you a good meal to start the day, free internet access and wi-fi is useful as well as the take out breakfasts if your in a rush.
