“ Great location Russell Square tube station right behind the hotel. You can walk to Oxford street in about 5 minutes as well as Charlotte Street which has loads of nice restaurants and bars. Booked a standard double with breakfast got a great deal on Travel Republic. Room was perfect and nicely refurbished. Breakfast wasn't great but full choice of cooked or continental. Staff were really helpful and pleasant. Overall a great hotel in a great central location.

“ Hotel is really well located around the corner from Russell St. tube station, which is on a direct line to Heathrow Airport. There is a lovely bar in the hotel, with considerable ambience for a large hotel. Staff were faultlessly helpful and polite. There is a good buffet style breakfast in the lovely dining room and, importantly for a coffee addict, you get a full pot of coffee to your table, as opposed mere cup fulls which need constant replenishment. Bedrooms were well appointed, comfortable beds and chairs. Bathroom was sizeable for city centre hotel. Everything was very clean. The hotel building is really beautiful.
“ Top Tip: The British Museum is literally a walk through the park away. Russell Square itself is a lovely area with an on-site Italian café. The London Review Bookshop is located five minutes walk away and carries an excellent stock of titles. Good tube and bus connections. Oxford St. and other main thoroughfares 15 minutes walk away.

Hotel was fantastic! exceeded all our expectations. The location close to the underground made it a perfect base for exploring all of London and and any attraction were a nice stroll and a great way to see everything.
Would definitely recommend the hotel and Travel Republic.
“ Top Tip: Invest in an oyster card or a travel card the underground station is a great way to get around.

I had requested a double room when making the booking, when we were allocated a twin room allbeit that our confirmation form clearly stated a double room.
We were then offered an upgrade to a delux double room for an additional £25, considering this was our 1st weekend away together we paid for the upgrade.
The hotel itself is pleasant but not 4 star quality.
We stayed on level 6 and from 6.30am onwards you could hear the lift operating which was extremely loud.
Taking into consideration this was considered an upgraded delux room, I was not at all happyl.
Then at 8.05am a maintenance person commenced working with a drill which went on for approximately 2.5 hours. I can only assume they were addressing the problem with the lift. We now had the pleasure of a combination level of noise.
I would not stay at this property again.
