Great

Declan from Rathfarnham

Check-in date:

This is a great hotel, centrally located, very spacious room and excellent food. The all inclusive price meant it was great value. However, the wines were priced to match its star rating. My only quibble was that the service staff seem very inexperienced, they didn't know their own menus and were slow to bring drinks in time with the food.

Spectacular

Check-in date:

This is a lovely contemporary hotel right in the middle of Belfast and next door to our ultimate destination, the Grand Opera House. The staff couldn't have been nicer and registration was seamless. Our room on the 6th floor was beautiful, very modern with every convenience, flat screen telly, enormous bed, dimmer lights, fabulous ensuite bathroom/shower,tea'smaid, and nightsafe. We requested extra milk to be brought to our room for a late-night cup of tea after our night out and hey presto! it was there in a flash. There is only one complaint we would have, and that was the pre-theatre menu meal. Presentation and service was very good but the chicken was tasteless. Apart from that we had a most enjoyable experience in the Fitzwilliam and would certainly return.

Top Tip: The Washington bar is a nice venue for a drink and just 5 minutes away.

Great

Check-in date:

The rooms are compact but nicely furnished.
We found all the members of staff to be helpful and friendly. I have two criticisms:
1. The temperature of the teas and coffees in the morning. Why can
hotels never provide a pot of HOT tea?
2. The showers - huge raindrop shower head with absolutely no power behind it. Definitely not good if you're in a rush.

Top Tip: Ginger Restaurant is great and well worth a visit.
Deane's had a Michelin star last year which they've lost. I could see why! A very disappointing meal.
