Sami Beach Hotel

“ Just got back from sami beach. would recommend this hotel, the staff so friendly and helpfull. we had a room on the ground floor over looking the pool had a little terrace area with table and chairs. the room was a great size had fridge and FREE aircon what a bonus as weather was fantastic during our stay. because it was 1st week of season no need to get up at at crack of dawn to put towel on sunbeds. the food was good, breakfast was continental the evening meal was ok think you will get more of a choice when hotel busier. evening entertainment varied but good because you right on top of bar street lots of bars to choose from. shop owners can be bit pushy but a polite no and they accept that. buses stop anywhere, just stick your hand out. beer prices roughly 6 to 8 liras for large beer.
the beach right on you doorstep all sunbeds are FREE just have to buy drink or a bit of food, staff always coming round to see if you want anything, plenty of watersports to choose from.
only small negative was ( the captain ) trying to get you onto his boat trip, even when you in resturant having your meal he was walking around trying to sell you a trip, did get a bit annoying after a while.
overall would recommend this hotel because of the location and friendly staff.

“ Well, we have just returned from a 10 day stay at the Sami Beach Hotel in
Gumbet. We are both beach lovers so this hotel was perfect, as it is right on the beach. Our room was kept very clean with a change of towels every day and bed
linen every other day. All the staff were very polite and always cheerful and the service they gave us was excellent. We really do'nt have any complaints and would certainly stay at this hotel again. It was extremely good value for what we paid.

“ Top Tip: We had most of our meals at the hotel where we stayed, but there were plenty
of other restaurants and bars close by. We tried a couple of other bars but
at the time of writing |I can't remember the names. Once again where ever we went the staff were very friendly and the service was good.

“ busy preparing for the season so noisy .Staff had limited english added to the experience . Happy out of normal holiday time as it would have been very load and noisy with so many night clubs along the street.We enjoyed are visit but would go to adifferent location next time. thank you.

“ Top Tip: enjoyed the walk up the hill amazing view from the top of bodrum bay and gumbet.local bus very good and cheap

“ As it says on the tin, a beach hotel, you can virtually fall out of bed and land on the beach. The hotel is situated on the picturesque Gumbet Bay (Goombet) and is surrounded by many shops, pubs, resturants and has its own bus stop. Local busses are cheap, bumpy and provide thrilling roller coaster rides. The hotel staff were found to be very helpful, The worst part of the hotel is the food which is neither turkish nor european, it seems to be a mish mash of all cultures. Whatever room you choose be aware that the disco with its loud and deep bass sounds will keep you up till after 2 in the morning.

“ Top Tip: 1. Book a room only, avoid the hotel food
2. Sandy's Bar (short walk uphill, opposite Mr Frog Karaoke Bar) best food and prices in town.
3. Second best resturant is the Lotus, 75 mtres from hotel. FALCON (the waiter) is the man to see.
4. For the fisherman, the beach and jetty are perfect, but there are no fish, probably too many jet ski's etc and the water has no depth.
