I enjoyed my stay at the Riviera. It was better than I expected it to be. The food was just to my liking and the staff were exellent.
The only down side was that people could smoke everywhere which I was not used to.
I would definitely stay here again.

The Riviera used to be a 4* hotel , however it is now a 3*
it is very quiet in the winter
the entertainment is good clean fun.. caberets in the evening in the hotel
“ Top Tip: as its all inclusive you may want to get out for a night.. take a taxi (5 tunisian dinars - £3) to Bonaparte restaurant in Sousse .. amazing food service and value for money

“ A great hotel for the price we paid, all the staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was good although the dining room was a little bit grubby, drinks were poor but hey what do you expect for all inclusive. the beach is amazing, spent most of our time there. The Irish Bar is well worth a visit, as are the fountains at the Marina. All in all we really enjoyed ourselves, had a good, relaxing week which is just what we wanted and yes, i would go back again.

The hotel has greeat potential but often the poor staff performences let it down. We ahd a number of small problems, nothing too major, but they could have been avioded with a little more care from the staff. However, one major incidnet was a hot buffet that was allowed to go cold ( due to someone not turning all the heaters on!!) This was really worrying as food that stands around to go cold in open servers is very risky.
My wiife spoke to the catering manager, who to his credit had all the food removed and replaced with hot meals, shame we ahd to bring this to his attention.
For some unknown reason the hotel decidned to change the bath in my daughters room in the midle of our stay (despite most of the hoytel being empty) left her and her one year old without bath or shower for two days.
Spoke to General manager half way through our stay an dthings changed for the better immeditly, nothing was too much trouble, we were treated like guest, not some unpleasent vistor. This showed just what the hotel is capable of. We take on board the fact that Tunisia is a developing country, and some of the decor at teh hotrel has seen better days ( but this is quite understandable) but what the Tunisians seem not to realise is that the levle of service one recives often help guest to "put up with" the other problems - service is key for a holiday induxstry trying to stray afloat in a fincial uncertain climate.
I would return as I think the country and the hotel has potential, I just hope they realise before people vote with thire feet, or eles the hotle will end up with the "cheap and cheerful drinking crowds" a group it does not seem to aim at - yet

Top Tip:
The hotel runs a free shuttle bus into Susse, quite useful.
Just up the main road from the hotel, in the opposite direction from the port is a really great Aircraft Cafe come restaraunt - full size airoplaines inside, all the seating is aircraft type with a large number of air artifiacts, really interesting to look around and of course eat at - try the first class lounge ( much cheaper than BA's version
