“ Hotel staff were very polite, communicated well in English and were welcoming of our broken Spanish. Only problem is the showers often make the whole room wet and often went into the bedroom.

“ Great hotel for short or longer stays in central Madrid. Most tourist attractions in walking distance. Metro 50 metres away. Plenty of choices for restaurants, tapas bars and entertainment. Excellent buffet breakfast. Staff very helpful with a pleasant and efficient manner. Computer in room with broadband access.
“ Top Tip: Museo de Jamon on calle mayor for a beer and ham sandwich. Bars inside old market hall next to plaza mayor. Great place for wide selection of tapas, foods of all types, chocalates of all sorts, etc., Great atmosphere, Covent Garden like. Also Casa Labra old tapas bar between Puert del Sol and Corte Ingles store.
