“ I would recommend the hotel to anyone. It has everything you could ever ask for. Situated in the centre of Puerto del Carmen, on the beach, with its own private beach, it is comfortable and well run by professional but friendly staff. The restaurant is excellent with a wide and varied selection of fresh and well presented cuisine.

Renovated in the year 2000, the hotel comprises a total of 242 rooms, of which 116 are suites spread over 7 floors. Amongst the facilities count a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a currency exchange facility and lifts. Furthermore, there is an in-house bar, a hairdresser's salon, a games room, a TV room and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant with a non-smoking area and highchairs for infants as well as a public Internet terminal, a conference room and room, laundry and medical services.
This comfortable beach hotel is located directly beside the sea amidst wonderful, predominantly tropical, gardens and offers direct access to the beach. The nearby beach promenade offers plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping venues. Public transport departs from stops within metres of the hotel
The comfortable rooms come with an en suite bathroom, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, free Wifi access, a radio, a hire safe and a balcony or terrace.
Guests may make use of the swimming pool with separate children's pool (heated in the winter), a saltwater pool, snack bar, sun loungers, parasols and a sauna as well as a massage service for which an additional fee applies. Diving is on offer for an additional fee on the beach. Sports enthusiasts may enjoy a round of tennis, squash, billiards or snooker (extra charge) or minigolf or pay a visit to the in-house gym (fees applies). There are seasonal entertainment programmes on offer to adults to round off the hotel's offerings.

Having stayed at the Faronies Apts. a few years previous and having friends who stay quiet often at the Faronies Playa. I decided while traveling alone to visit the Hotel Faronies. The facilities in the pool area looked much better than some of the other hotels and appartments.
I found my stay at the Hotel Faronies a little disappointing.
No air conditioning in the hotel.
The hotel is very dated. (decor and the rooms).
The staff at the hotel were efficient but they had no smile or personality.
Most of the loungers at the pool area were reserved before 8am.
Wifi service is almost non existent. (7 days no wifi. after enquiring on day two)
The location of this hotel is the best in Puerto del Carmen its just a pitty the Hotel does not match its location.
Unless the Hotel Faronies moves into the present pretty fast I will have to look elswhere.

Top Tip:
The Bodega Res and Tapas Bar in the old town is very professional and the food is fantastic.
La Cascada Puerto Resturant and Grill is a very good Itallian Resturant.
Good food and plesant surroundings.

Top Tip:
Rent a bike and cycle to Playa honda. ( 1hour there)
Try the cliff walk to Calera and take the boat back.
Bozena/Bodecos restaurant worth a visit.
