Marvell Complex Hotel

“ I had a really nice break at the Marvell. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The property is spotless, rooms cleaned and towels changed each day. I'll definitely return next season.

“ Top Tip: Because this is the bay area it is quite a walk to the West end, etc. but the public bus is right outside and the water taxi is a two minute walk to the left from the Marvell. Playa Pinet is a five minute walk also to the left. There are lots of bars and restaurants very close, its a great neighbourhood.

“ Loved the hotel. The apartments were basic but had all you'd need! The pool area was fantastic. noticed a lot of people went all inclusive which appeared to be good. ferry boat to main part of san antonio €2.50 one way each and taxi approx 10 euro for two. Liked the area the hotel was in. Staff were very nice and helpful!

“ Top Tip: When booking def book pool or sea view room. No view on other side of hotel! Worth the extra bit.

“ The Hotel was very , if not extremely disappointing... the pictures on the internet were certainly 100% an improvement on the actual hotel in real life... it was run down to a certain extent, and shabby.... The price was not cheap, but what we got was..... I would have hated to have seen the food provided under the inclusive deal , as the standard of the hotel itself was poor.

We decided to go self catering .... we had to ask for items that were listed as provided on the web page: Kettle, tea cloths, microwave... etc..... The kitchen table is a top fixed to the wall standing on one leg... cannot be moved... very little leg room for entering & exiting the room... the bare minimum was provided in the line of cutlery …. the Sink/Drainer/Cooker are all one unit... when cooking the steam off the cooker kept tripping the electricity in the room, (8 consecutive times at one stage, not funny when its late and apartment is pitch black )... one ring in particular seemed to be the cause of the tripping... reception told us that the steam effects the electricity connections behind the cooker... is this not a safety issue?... There was also an infestation of ants on the cooker area…. The draining board was as big as an electric ring… and only took two cups max …..ridiculous for self catering… the TV was not tuned in and there were no directions as to how to go about this….. the apartments ( if that’s what you could call them), were not suited for self catering purposes….

The safety deposit box .... the key got stuck in the lock and we had to organise a new lock to be fitted....

The hotel lobby and lifts were not spotless by any means... Glasses from the night before were not cleared away from the reception area until late the next morning.... very sloppy standards....but the rooms were serviced daily and to a good enough level.

The pool was indeed a nice pool... but for anyone with children , be aware that the shallowest end of the main pool is approx 5ft getting deeper as the pool heads toward the hotel itself.... and as far as I could see there was no life guard on duty or any hotel staff around the area keeping an eye on the pool and those using it....

Ending on a positive note... the staff were very friendly and helpful , I could not fault them in anyway.

I would not recommend the hotel to anyone , its a cheap run down shabby hotel , not worthy of the price it demands.

“ Top Tip: for those not in Ibiza just to party its a good idea to Hire a car and travel the island... its really lovely , with great places and beaches to visit... Santa Eularia and Elvissa are like tow different worlds... well worth a visit ...

“ The overall impression was a very good one. The interiors might need some "face-lifting", but the rooms are very comfortable and fitted with a lot of utilities that cannot be found at the 5 stars hotels sometimes. The staff is friendly and very hard working. Tidiness is maintained all over by a daily room cleaning and toileting and towels & bin are refreshed with the same frequency. The air conditioning is very well built ensuring a bi-zone ventilation and control (dining room & bedroom). The ground floor, just beside the reception, is equipped with pool table, massage armchairs, coin-pay internet access (2 PCs) and a scale to weigh your baggages before going to the airport for check-in. The hotel water pools are excellent and constantly supplied with fresh water so the water is kept very clean and safe from skin transmittable conditions. There is a small bar, a pool table and a tenis table just near the children's pool. Also, just before the stairs leading to the main pool, there is a terrace linked to the hotel bar so you can enjoy your coffee or your drinks in open air admiring the pool view. There are lots of shops minutes of walk from the hotel entrance and a lot of bars and restaurants just across the street ("Shooters", "Moby Dick" a.s.o.). The beach in front of the hotel is not suitable for bathing/swimming access or sun tanning, but you can easily access the other beaches 10-15 minutes walking from the hotel. We ourselves were two Romanian families living in Ireland and this was our firt holiday in Sant Antoni. We'd like to thank the hotel staff for all their efforts to make the guests feeling great during their stay there. We'll definitely recommend this establishment to all our friends.
