“ Had a really enjoyable holiday and the staff were excellent. The only downside was that we were without hot water for 4 days but once that was fixed there were no complaints. It does state on the arrival package that sunbeds should not be reserved with towels.

“ We had an excellent stay at Sol Gavilanes Hotel. When we arrived we upgraded our room from a side view to a front view room, it was well worth the extra cost for the upgrade for the beautiful view, we were on the 5th floor which seemed the perfect position to fully appreciate the view.

“ The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and rooms were serviced daily to a high standard. The breakfast was nice with a good variety to choose from. The views from the pool area over the bay were beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

“ Nice, clean hotel. Good swimming pools but not much entertainment laid on for children especially in the evenings. Rooms were clean and spacious, modern. Breakfast was very good. All in all a decent hotel offering good value for money.

The Sol Milanos Pingüinos is the only hotel located right on Son Bou beach, the longest beach in Menorca, some 2.5 km. in length.
