The apartments offer a modern ambience and have been built into the volcanic rock face in a style typical of the islands. Inside guests will feel submerged in a tropical atmosphere thanks to the palm trees and cactus gardens. The following facilities and services feature: telephone/fax facilities, a currency exchange facility, car rental, cycle hire, safety deposit boxes, luggage storage/cloakroom and a mini-market. It has a lobby with 24-hour reception and lift access. A bar and cafe also feature. Internet access is available, as is a laundry service. Parking facilities are available for guests arriving by car. The kids' club is sure to be a hit with younger guests.The complex is located in Puerto Rico, a tropical paradise offering some of the finest weather to be had on the whole of Gran Canaria. It is within easy walking distance of Puerto Rico's commercial centre, home to a variety of shops and restaurants. Also in the vicinity are a number of fine white sandy beaches including Playa de Amadores.The apartments are distributed into blocks with 3 floors. The modern decoration in tropical colours transmits a great warmth, making the apartments a home from home. Each apartment is composed of 1 or 2 double rooms and also offers the possibility of converting the sofa in the living room into a bed ideal for children. Each apartment has capacity for 4-6 guests. Alongside the bedrooms guests will find a spacious bathroom. The kitchen is open-plan with the lounge/dining room and is fully fitted with appliances such as a toaster, a kettle, a fridge and an oven. An ironing set is also provided, as is a safe deposit box and a direct dial telephone. From the living room guests have access to the balcony from which they can enjoy spectacular views over the valley of Puerto Rico and out onto the Atlantic Ocean.Every night on the bar terrace guests can enjoy one of the live shows offered by the entertainment team. The bar also has a large, flat screen television showing all the major sports events, along with movies for those who wish to relax watching a film. The heated pool in winter (with children's pool) surrounded by the terrace (with sun loungers and parasols) and palm trees offers an ideal temperature to bathe all year round. Next to the pool is the snack bar. Visitors are able to enjoy a wide selection of water sports on the beach. The beach comes with sun loungers and parasols (both subject to fees).

Hotel for me was perfect and was cleaned every day; never seen a place cleaned so much, staff was friendly and food was nice,and the pool area was spotless
The only down side was for my parents they are both elderly and my mother has had her hip replaced last year, there was 36 steps for her to get up and down everyday, which at times was a struggle, I heard a lot of guests saying the same thing about their parents, perhaps a lift might have been better on the ground level,
Everyone loved it there but my parents couldn’t go back with the amount of steps they had to face every time they went out,
For a younger family or anyone who has no problem with steps I'd certainly recommend it and would go back in a heartbeat
there was 6 of us in the cal a dor and for four of us i'd rate it 10/10
for my mam and dad and for anyone who has a problem with steps i'd rate it 9/10 only because of the amount of steps to the hotel

Top Tip:
A great place to eat is san Miguel’s in the centre, food is excellant and cheep as chips, a massive fish and chips is €6.50, steak musrooms chips and onions was €7.50 you couldn't go wrong,
best bar in the centre for me was the "sunspot" and the "pub" run by stevie and kim, great for karoke

7th Feb-14th Feb 2012...................We went as part of a group of 16.. aged 21 upwards...
Hotel was SPOTLESS the cleaners were in the rooms every day!! couldn't get a lye in ha ha and staff were nice, wouldn't recommend this for the younger crowd at this time of year as the place is full of Oldies ( No Offence :) Unless your a couple :) now in saying that i think we were the biggest group of people over their at this time of year :) all in all had a great time, Sun came out every day, Freezing at Night time so bring a jacket.... I would %100 recommend these apartments as its everything you need and personally i will be going back with the kidz :)

Gets VERY Cold at Night time So Bring Yer Cardi/jacket!
Food In the Cala D Or is perfect, and cheap. M&M Bar cheap and Cheerful to get tipsy before you head on :) and Murphy's Bar, Sunday Roast Top Notch!

hotel was clean and staff very friendly .
Entertainment every night family quiz ,music and live shows .
Leo and Kelly very helpful and friendly .
Hotel is on the upper level but a taxi ride to the centre was only €2.25.
Room cleaned every day and plenty of fresh towels.
We got what we paid for and were not disappointed.

Amadores beach well worth the visit
Also boat trip to Mogan

Not suitable for young people 18-30.
Reception staff rude and not helpful for no reason.
Bar staff, cleaners and entertainment staff are polite and nice.
Apartments basic but nice. Cleaners came nearly every day.
Bar food is ok and reasonably priced.
The pool area is to small for the amount of people staying.
