“ Having stayed in the Royal sun suites quite a few times, I think it is one of the best hotels on the costa brava. It has recently been upgraded to a 4* with flat screen televisions now in each room, hairdryers in all the bathrooms, food upgraded ( I always found the food before the upgrade delicious with a good choice)and entertainment also upgraded. The rooms are fresh and clean with beds changed every day and clean towels supplied. Staff are so friendly and any problems, if you ask nicely, they will do their best to sort it for you. Shops are just around the corner and you can walk into the next town, Malgrat de mar, before you have realised as there are so many shops to see.. All the towns can be reached by train, Calella, Malgrat, Pineda de mar and Blanes, all of have markets. . Altogether, a great holiday base and hotel. I would recommend to anyone going to Costa brava to visit this hotel for a stay.

“ Top Tip: A lovely turkish restaurant on the beach front serves up gorgeous grub and a meal for 3 with dtrinks cost approx 32 euro. Santa susanna market day is on a Thursday and runs from just beyond the start of the strip right up to the train station which is an approx walk of 15 mins awayThe best and biggest market on the costa Brava is Tordeira and this is held on a Sunday. Train fares are very cheap and you can get a return to the markets for approx 2.80 euros per person. The H tops also have discounts on the medievel castle which is a brilliant night and includes a whole chicken, delicious! Other tours are available from hotel, Barcelona shopping, dancing fountains etc

“ only problem was the food was never hot although a micro wave oven was available.

only downside had a group of french youth in and they where noisy
banging on doors running away etc.
