“ A well established hotel worthy of 5 stars. The location is excellent for "The old town" and its array of restaurants, tiny bars and the old Madeira. It is also very conveniently located for local bus services, which are reliable, on-time, low cost and access all parts of the island.

This luxury hotel was renovated in 2010 and comprises a total of 75 rooms, an entrance hall, 24-hour reception, currency exchange facility and lift access. Further facilities include a library, a games room, Internet access, cycle hire and parking for those arriving by car. Dining options include the restaurant ""Flor do Mar"", in which first-rate cookery and live entertainment are presented, as well as a bar. There are 2 function rooms that can also be booked for cocktail receptions, conferences and other events. Guests can also make use of the laundry service.
“ Excellent location, really enjoyed hotel. However: On our second night (i'e: before we had seen more of the island than the hotel complex) we were invited by the hotel to a "cocktail party" at which we were the only guests and it was purely a front to sell us timeshare in the guise of a new name "Options".
