Staff at reception not particularly courteous on arrival or departure. Rooms and housekeeping very good, very high standard of cleanliness throughout.
No such thing as a decent cup of tea/coffee at breakfast, breakfast buffet good otherwise.
Hotel facilities, pool, gardens and outside bar excellent.
“ Top Tip: Nice bar around the corner, excellent entertainment, food, drink and very welcoming and friendly staff. On bus route to town centre. Good restuarants/bars in Cascais, Amori and O'Luains irish bar.

“ Enjoyed our week's stay in Vila Gale.Found it a relaxing ,quiet place in a lovely location.Spacious rooms & spotless always, though the towels were rather thin & worn.Breakfast was good. There was a lack of any usual information about the hotel in the bedroom. There was no entertainment at night in the hotel- some would have been nice.We had a a lovely sea view from our room on the side of the hotel which would be a pity to miss totally if you had a room on the back overlooking the park.We liked the 10-15 min.walk to the centre but it might not suit somebody who did not like or had a problem with walking as you would have to rely on taxis or the local bus which was available frequently a few hundred yards from hotel. We would certainly recommend it as a place to stay in Cascais
“ Top Tip: The coastal walk outwards definitely a gem not to be missed.Took a bus to Guincho beach, lovely natural unspoiled area & largest beach we saw, definitely a must for surfers or anybody interested in kite flying.

Just back from a weeks stay here. Really enjoyed it, fantasticly located hotel, only fifteen minutes walk from the centre of Cascais, a beautiful fishing town with modern marina. Had a junior suite room which was nice, clean, spacious and with air conditioning, unfortunately didn't have a sea view, but our room overlooked the park at the rear of the hotel, which was lovely also. Did also experience the roosters crowing in the early hours, but if you just close the window you doin't hear them so much, anyway a nice way to wake up each morning.
The buffet breakfast was perfect with plenty of everything, found all the staff very pleasent and helpful. We used this hotel as a base to explore Lisbon which is only 30mins by train away and a fab city, and also to have a few chill days in between by the pool, which we found ideal with plenty of loungers and towels available at the pool.
Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and would have no hesitation in returning to same.
“ Top Tip: Paradigm restaurant on the way into Cascais
