“ Great location, literally 5 mins walk from Dam square and all the amenities. Hotel staff are very helpful and welcoming. Rooms are quite big in size with tv included, shower was pretty good, overall a clean and cheap hotel. If you require/request a room with a canal view be prepared to fork out an extra €25 per night as we found out on arrival. No smoking whatsoever allowed within the hotel !! You will be slapped with a €100 fine if caught so not worth the risk really..

“ The Rembrant Classic in Amsterdam is ideally located within walking distance of all tourist spots and the city centre. The hotel was basic but very clean. Rooms are average size but the beds are very comfortable. Staff are friendly. I would recommend this hotel to all visitors.
“ Top Tip: There is a lovely cafe when you turn right from the hotel and turn right at the traffic lights at the top of the road. There is also a lovely pub the next street over from the cafe too which serves lovely dinners. Staff are very friendly & helpful to tourists too who want information on the local sites.

“ The hotel is in a good position for getting around the sights and close to transport. It is rather 'tired ' looking and could do with updating and a coat of paint . The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The service at reception is slow . More staff at busy times such as check in would be a good idea. The web site states that there are tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms which there are not. When we queried this we were told that this was only for single rooms but we could have them at a charge of 2 euros 50 a day. The breakfast was adequate with variety but the 'hot' food was invariably cold. Would not stay at this hotel again.
