Great location with some really good eating places within 2-5 mins walk. Hotel needs to be better represented by your photos - there is probably only one bedroom that looks like the one on your advert, and we did not get it.
Good 2 star standard compared to the rest in Amsterdam and value for money.
“ Top Tip: Great Indian and Italian restaurants close by

A nice hotel, a little on the small side and would not be good for families with children as the rooms are tiny and would be difficult to get children up and down the vertical stairs, similarly people with mobility problems would not be able to stay here.
There was a bit of an issue when we first arrived as our bags were apparently too big (a suitcase each for me and my partner for a weeks stay) for the double room I'd booked so we were moved to a room with a double bed and a single bed to put our bags on so it worked out good for us in the end. We stayed at the back of the hotel so it was quiet (except for the church bells which go off on the hour.. every hour!!) and the bed was fairly comfortable.
We didn't venture down for breakfast as the breakfast room had about 6 tables and was packed with plants all over the walls which made it quite gloomy.
The staff were friendly, the reception is open 24 hours a day and they ask that you leave your room key with them while you go out and you use a doorbell to get back in where you are then given your key to your room.
If we came back to Amsterdam I'm not sure I'd stay in the hotel again but only because I'd look for something with less stairs and more modern, lighter rooms and a less personal stay but it is a nice hotel that I believe if people have seen pictures and read reviews then they should be very satisfied when they get there.
“ Top Tip: Sara's Pancake House which is two doors down.. the service isn't the best but the pancakes/omelettes/waffles make up for it and are very tasty!
