The Avenue Hotel is an excellent 3-star hotel in the historical centre of Amsterdam, with all well-known Amsterdam attractions within walking distance, yet only 30 minutes from Schiphol Airport. The hotel provides good-sized, comfortable rooms each with telephone, television. hairdryer, cable TV and pay-tv and internet access. The day starts with a delicious breakfast in the breakfast room.
You can eat as much as you like and each day of the week, you’re welcome in the cosy St. Jacobsstreet Café, located in the hotel, for a bite and a chat or a refreshing pint of Heineken.

“ Excellent hotel to stay in for a short break in Amsterdam. Close to all amenities and very quiet by night. Was never woken up by any noise whatsoever. Breakfast very good also.

“ we arrived at 10am new years day, we knew it would be too early on Check in but we were told not to come back until after 3 as guests who stayed there for NYE were allowed a later check out, we were not informed of this prior to travelling and this is something which would've affected our decision. When we did go back in the late afternoon we were told there was still no room ready as the cleaners hadn't given front desk a list of rooms that were cleaned. The receptionist was stressed but did get us a room about 10 mins later. Free wifi is good but there is no food available in the hotel after breakfast and no mini-bar or even tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Old fashioned tv, but free wifi was good. Would not stay here again. There are far superior hotels for about €10 extra a night

“ Room 4metres by 3metres.no tea making facilities, Stench from drain in tiny 3 foot by 3 foot loo.Overpriced and certainly not 3 star.Not for me,my wife referred to our room as the cupoard.
“ Top Tip: Nice wee Pub across the road,London Bridge.All you want in Amsterdam nearby.

“ Excellent location. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast. The only negative is that the rooms are a bit small.
“ Top Tip: Airport to hotel transfer very easy - Train from airport to Central station , 5 minute walk to hotel or tram from Central station to hotel - stops a few yards after hotel. ( Much cheaper than taxi ) Most attractions within walking distance.
