“ Stayed at the San Anton from 9th June 2013 for one week. Having stayed at this hotel several times during 2003 - 2005 i could see that there was still work to be done but everything was running smoothly.

“ I know until recently this hotel had been shut for approx 5 years. It has just recently reopened and is getting back on its feet. I was on all inclusive. My room was superb for a budget hotel. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water and a huge balcony.

The Aparthotel San Anton is only a third of a mile from the Bugibba sea front and promenade, with its fine selection of shops, bars, restaurants and rocky beaches. A bus stop to Valletta, Sliema and to the Gozo Ferry Terminal, situated in the northern part of the island, is close by.

“ Stayed at the San Anton from 9th June 2013 for one week. Having stayed at this hotel several times during 2003 - 2005 i could see that there was still work to be done but everything was running smoothly. We stayed on a half board basis and a lot of other guests on all inclusive, the food choice at first was a little repetitive but improved as the week went on. The staff were also friendly, approachable and willing to solve and issues, questions etc. Our room was very clean, pool area and pool spotless.Considering this hotel has only been open again for a few weeks, there is ongoing work, but would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Having read several reviews on here, some bad, this is a 3 star hotel and some people will never be happy, wanting 5 star treatment and facillities for 3 star prices.

“ DONT DO IT !!! me and my friend have just returned from this hotel...I can truly say this is the worst hotel I have ever been too. The food is made in the closed down hotel opposite and brought in on a trolley! There are flies all over the food as nothing is kept covered in the restaurant . I paid for all inclusive and ended up eating out every day! food is sooooo cheap in Malta anyway.. I did complain to the receptionist but she also advised she didn't like the food either, it is bland and gross. There is nothing to do in Bugibba exept walk around on streets. The best place to go in Malta is St Julians (Paceville) it has lovely bars, one being Soho Lounge and Melliaha Bay is the most nicest beach on the island. We were at the hotel for 5 days and never had the rooms cleaned once, I had to go to reception to get fresh towels and toilet paper. The walls are paper thin and in the morning it sounds like a herd of elephants are stampeding through the corridors. So there is no chance of a lie in! I know the hotel is cheap but come on! just pay a little extra and at least get a clean hotel with edible food!!
“ Top Tip: SoHo Lounge is nice and does good cocktails and jump on buses its only 2.60 a day!!

“ Got home on monday 3rd June.Hotel still undergoing some renovations after being closed for 5 years but did not disrupt our holiday.Any problems we had were sorted out straight away.Food is ok for a 3 star property and was ok for what we paid but would not stay any longer than a week All Inclusive as food is very repetative.Rooms are basic but clean ,should be cleaned every other day.Entertainment not brilliant but didn't bother us no entertainment for children.Staff are very friendly and do their best to sort problems out ASAP.
“ Top Tip: If thinking of hiring a car try Swift car hire close to the hotel they do an All Inclusive price with zero eccess we paid 20 euros a day well worth it.

“ I know until recently this hotel had been shut for approx 5 years. It has just recently reopened and is getting back on its feet. I was on all inclusive. My room was superb for a budget hotel. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water and a huge balcony. Some people moaned about the food but hey...it was far more than even average , there was plenty of it and a good selection of choices....something for everyone. I think those that moaned expected lobster and caviar but if that's what you want....go for a 5 star and not a budget hotel! The staff were all really friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The pool was lovely and clean, so were the sunbeds bad the local lager and wines were delicious. Fantastic holiday and fabulous hotel.
