Hotel was great, within walking distance of everything. We got a room on the 6th floor (upper penthouse level) which was just beside the pool, very handy to nip in for a swim and go back to your balcony to sunbathe, the balcony had 2 sun loungers and was facing the sun all day. The pool area was really quiet and relaxing. The room was cleaned every day and was very comfortable and spacious and had all mod cons, TV, Hairdryer, A/C, Fridge, etc. Breakfast was good, served till 10.30am every day.
Hotel on quiet street about 5 min walk from Paceville Avenue where all the bars and clubs are or there are a few quieter pubs just around the corner (Irish & Scottish Bars) for Karaoke, etc.
“
Top Tip:
Lots of good restaurants down by the marina, about 10 mins walk from hotel.

“ the hotel is brand new, central ,staff excellent, close to all the amenites, with good facilites like spa and swimming pool on the roof.on our welcome the receptionist said the hotel is good everything is fine, but if something doesn't work is ok...i believe she was saying that just because the hotel is brand new something could not work...this something for us was that they came in our room 5 times with different strange reason...one a guy start to check if the wardrobe was ok..anyway...for an holiday in Malta this is a place to go nowhere else you find a structure like this.really quality value.
“ Top Tip: i have seen other hotel in Malta, but this is a definitely 10 times better than the rest!!

We had a deluxe room with a very limited free TV choice which was just news. Sky was available with a charge of 9euros a day and 15euros for the films channel.
We had to ask twice to hoover the room since there were lots of hair on the carpet. Hotel apolgized with a bottle of wine.
The room does not have a kettle.
First morning we went for breakfast to the internal bar, the 2 croissants had a gone off custard inside, not really impressing fo a 4 star!!! we went the following days to a nearby bar.
The swimming pool would have been very good if didnt have the plaster coming off the wall inside the water, pool didnt have tiles but just plastered wall!!
“
Top Tip:
If you have a car don t park in the hotel, £8 per day, but look for a very near car park behind the Westin Hotel for only £2 per 24 hours in low season.
Go to the Avenue for a tasty and good value lunch.
There is a lovely bar at the beginning of Paceville road where you can gave a great continental breakfast at a normal price.

Was disappointed with the overall management of the hotel , on our arrival we were told that we could not check in as there was a problem with our room - The staff assured us that there was no other room in the hotel that they could put us ( although we did not believe this ) ... we then got sent to another hotel down the road which was appaling - and did not meet the 4 star standard it had been given, this didnt put the holiday off to a good start.
Once we checked into the george the problems didnt end there , Whilst getting ready in the evening the fire alarm in the room would go off, It was a struggle to get the tele to work and mid week we were checked out of our room and asked to provide proof of booking and payment for the week
The breakfast choice is very limited and often cold, and although the pool roof looks lovely there are very limited beds, umberellas ect ....
Overall The George has the look, but it doesnt live up to the expectations that we had of it
