“ I have stayed at this hotel twice now. The hotel is in a fantastic location and backs onto the grand canal. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast of a good standard. The breakfast room in particular is a wonderful way to start the day as it overlooks the canal and you can watch the early morning hustle and bustle of Venice. It is a short walk from both the main train and bus stations (approx 5 mins) and there is a direct bus to & from the airport which takes approx 30 minutes. The rooms are very clean and well decorated. However room size does vary considerably and rooms with a canal view come at a premium. Try to avoid the rooms to the front of the hotel as there can sometimes be noise due to it being the main route walking from the stations. That said I would definitely stay here again. Rialto bridge approx 15 mins walk / St Marks square 30 mins walk. There are also several vaparetto stops nearby from which you can reach all popular tourist destinations including the Lido, Murano and Burano.
“ Top Tip: Buy an all inclusive 3 day travel pass at the airport. This costs approx 39 euro and covers both the airport bus return journey and all the vaparetto services. Avoid restuarants close to the main tourist attractions as these can be double the price especially the drinks tariffs. Also remember to check if the restuarant prices are inclusive of cover and service charges. Approx 1 - 2 euro p/p and 13% may be automatically added to your bill if not included up front.

“ Overall very pleased with this hotel. Very good spot near bus and railway station and good starting point in exploring Venice. Disappointed that a room with a view, i.e. Grand Canal, had a supplement of 50 euros a night which is prohibitive. Helpful and friendly staff and we would recommend and go back to this hotel.
“ Top Tip: Lots of nice looking restaurants and shops near hotel and less expensive than closer in to San Marco. We found excellent eatery near the Accademia called MOCENIGO near the S Stae vaporreto stop.

“ Very close to bus station (Piazza Roma) and train station (Ferovia) both of which are very well signposted to and from St Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge. Perfect location, 5 -10 minutes from bus station so no dragging suitcases over lots of bridges, only one bridge.
“ Top Tip: Free water taxi from hotel to Murano. You do have to have a guided tour of a glass factory but there was no hard sell there. You can then get a water bus back.

“ Great location ie near Alilugana Guglie stop, near Aerobus to Airport, near ACTV Vaporetto stop and right on Grand Canal. Some restaurants and bars close by touristy but easy to walk a bit further away to get better ones. Breakfast excellent, good buffet and great view. Excellent value for money compared to many others researched.
“ Top Tip: 2 very nice restaurants, away from the close by touristy ones, over the Salzi bridge by the hotel and straight ahead on the right hand side - Vittoria and Marciana
