“ We stayed 3 nights in this hotel and would have no hesitation in booking again. Although our room was not ready until 3.30pm it was worth waiting for as it was very clean and well furnished. There were a couple of faults like no bath plug and 2 light bulbs not working but once reported they were replaced quickly.

The Carlton Shearwater Hotel is located in the picturesque town of Ballinasloe, approximate a half an hours drive from Galway Airport and 50 minutes from the centre of Galway. A modern 4 storey building. An extremely high quality hotel in a gorgeous part of Ireland. (03.09rt)The rooms are medium or large in size and as you would expect in a brand new hotel they are in extremely good condition. They are furnished to a very high four star standard and have all the amenities you would expect including Air conditioning Direct Dial Phones, Complimentary Broadband Access, Digital TV and Hospitality tray.
“ As usual there is always a que in every hotel for check in for a wedding but they were training a girl on reception with a long que of people waiting, not good management. Couldn't find our booking then for ages, asking who we booked with,how,when,where, etc.
